HONEY BEAR HISTORY
The Honey Bears were the official cheerleading squad of the Chicago Bears from 1976 to 1985, bringing energy, tradition, and excitement to Soldier Field. Known for their iconic name, uniforms, and game-day performances, the Honey Bears became one of the most recognizable cheer squads in the NFL.
Beyond the field, they connected the team to the city through community events and charitable appearances. The Honey Bears were part of a winning era in Bears history, including the franchise’s last Super Bowl championship. Though disbanded in 1985, their legacy lives on -and fans still remember the impact they had on game day.
